…says victory a testament of previous service, commitment to people’s welfare

All Progressives Congress Chieftain Engineer Muritala Salau Audu has described the election of the new Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as a testament and positive consequence of his past service and dedication to ensuring a seamless government in the state.

In a congratulatory message signed and issued by Engr. Audu on Sunday, he cited various contributions of the Governor-elect Alhaji Ododo while serving as the Auditor-General of the state adding that his selfless comportment has been rewarded by the Kogi state people through the ballot box and their overwhelming votes for him on Saturday 11th November,2023, having been declared winner by the Independent National Commission (INEC) polling 446,237 valid votes to defeat his closest contender in the SDP who polled 259,052 votes while PDP and ADC polled  46,362 and  21,819 votes respectively.

Audu said that: “On behalf of the people of Kogi State and the All Progressives Congress (APC), I extend my warmest congratulations to Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on his well-deserved emergence as the Governor-elect of Kogi State. Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s victory at the gubernatorial election is a testament to the trust and confidence that the people of Kogi State have in his leadership abilities.

“His track record as the former Auditor of Kogi state Cabinet, coupled with his experience as a member Kogi State Government, showcases his dedication and commitment to public service.

According to Engr.Audu the Aare Atunluse Omoluwabi Oodua Worldwide, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo will bring to bear his expertise and leadership acumen in the management of the system of government and the people of the state going forward. “His work with the Kogi State government, and various other levels and assignments reflect his wealth of experience and competence in public administration.

“As a former Local Government Auditor-General, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has contributed significantly to the fiscal accountability and transparency of our local government system. His stint at the energy sector further demonstrates his diverse and valuable expertise in key sectors.

 “I am confident that Kogi State will benefit immensely from his visionary leadership and passion for public service. His wealth of experience, combined with his youthful energy, positions him as a leader who can drive positive change and development in our beloved state.”

The APC Chieftain Engr. Audu however, counseled all well-meaning residents of Kogi State to rally behind Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as he embarks on this important journey. “Let us unite and support his candidacy, ensuring that together, we build a Kogi State that thrives economically, socially, and politically.

He further urged Ododo to run an open-door policy in government by ensuring a deliberate accommodation of all shades of political interest to elicit an inclusive government, he also prayed for a prosperous tenure in office, also for a united and progressive Kogi State.
