The management and staff of Ogun State College of Health Technology (OGSCOHTECH), Ilese-Ijebu, has passed vote of confidence on its college Provost, Dr. Abiodun Oladunjoye, as against the backdrop of the petition of embezzlement written to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and House of Assembly by some unscrupulous elements.

The management under the auspices of “Concerned Academic Staff”, headed by immediate past Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Comrade Salako Sikiru, made this known at a Press Conference, held at College’s campus, Ilese-Ijebu, Ogun state.

He said that the allegation of embezzlement and mismanagement of fund levelled against the college Provost was mere fabrication, malicious and unfunded, noting that it was an effort to plunge the college into disrepute.

“All the malicious information being peddling on social media and some newspapers, including petitions to the state Governor and House of Assembly was made by some detractors and scavengers of the college, just in a bid to create a quagmire that is intended to cover their shameful acts,” Sikiru said

In the same vein, the Head of Department (H.O.D), Social Work, Mr. Adegbola Mujaideen, said that their effort was targeted at the Provost of the College, Dr. Abiodun Oladunjoye, saying that they have no moral operandi to write any petition as most of them were having several allegations against them, which ranged from, raping, certificate forgery and embezzlement of fund.

He added that all allegation levelled against the Provost was concocted by unqualified and trouble-makers of the college, noting that there was a due process to follow in spending the government fund, which the Provost usually  follow.

“You see, if they are aspiring for the position of Provost or any others, let them channel it somewhere else, they should not need to be blackmailing our Provost of embezzlement and misappropriation of fund, there are lay down rules to follow, especially in spending the government fund, which we usually follow, and the institution has been once awarded as the most peaceful institution in the state, why now intending to disrupt the peace of the college because of their aspirations?,”‎ Mujaideen said,
