Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmen in LGAs across Lagos State, under the aegis of Lagos PDP LGA Chairmen Forum had declared that the party’s presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the main opposition party directed them to work against candidates of the party in the state, including Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran the PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 General Election.

The Chairmen’s Forum made this disclosure in a release jointly signed by its chairman, Hon. Adeboyega Adegbesan and secretary Hon. Malomo Adelabi, asserting that the PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubarka and the national leadership of the party directed that they should collaborate to work for the victory of the opposition Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, while JANDOR be made to step down from the race.

According to the Forum,  JANDOR and Assembly candidates of PDP in the state were directed to do this, following the loss suffered by Alhaji Atiku at the 2023 Presidential Election.

The chairmen said the party at the National took the the step because it felt there was need to collaborate with the parties in the governorship election in order to have as many states as possible for PDP, adding: “Lagos was one of the states that they had in mind.”

The Forum said it was on account of establishing working arrangements with Labour Party that Atiku invited JANDOR to his Abuja home, noting that the invitation came two days after Peter Obi had discussion with JANDOR on same issue.

It disclosed that the Abuja meeting had in attendance Alhaji Atiku, a retired General and one other powerful Northern leader, but said JANDOR rejected the move, maintaining his stand “that he was not ready to step down for Labour Party Candidate, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour, and that the only condition was for Gbadebo to step down for him because he has his Awori people behind him.”

“After the PDP lost the presidential election, the party at the National felt there was need to collaborate with the parties in the governorship election in order to have as many states as possible for PDP.

“Lagos was one of the states that they had in mind. The Presidential Candidate of labour Party, H. E. Peter Obi, called JANDOR on how PDP and Labour can collaborate for the governorship election. JANDOR told Peter Obi point blank that he was not ready to step down for anybody and the only condition is for the Labour candidate to step down for him. And that if the reconciliation must work, he must be the one that must be on the ballot.

‘Two days after Peter Obi had discussion with JANDOR on the issue of working with Labour Party, H. E. Atiku Abubakar, our presidential candidate invited JANDOR to his Abuja home on the same issue of working arrangements with Labour Party.

They recalled that an enlarged meeting was suggested which involved seeking the opinion of key party leaders in Lagos State, through phone calls, including the former Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Chief Olabode George, on the way forward, saying that all the leaders made it clear to them that the best and ideal thing to do was to have a relationship with the Labour Party.

The Forum said the leaders based their decision on “the outcome of Presidential Election of 2023 where Labour scored 582,664 votes as against PDP that scored 75,750 votes.”

“When the enlarged meeting was asked to suggest the way forward on how they can make progress on the collaboration, they suggested that a call should be made to Chief Olabode George and seek for his opinion on the way forward.

“From the venue of the meeting in Abuja, a call was made to Bode George and other notable leaders in Lagos on the issue of working relationship with Labour Party. All the leader made it clear to them that the best thing to do is to have a relationship with the Labour Party.

That the most ideal and reasonable thing to do is for JANDOR to step down for Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour because the leaders based on their analysis of the outcome of Presidential Election of 2023 where Labour scored 582,664 votes as against PDP that scored 75,750 votes,” the PDP chairmen stated.

In his reaction, Jandor said every word contained in the supposed LGA Chairmen forum release were cooked up to justify their anti-party activities which they openly carried out with impunity.

At no time did NWC or anyone invited me, or my campaign organization to any  meeting for the purpose of merger, stepping down or otherwise.

In anyway, there are procedures for merger between two political parties, and there no how such will happen without the two political parties going to press with all the Actors involved to announce such merger or arrangement.

“The public may need to tell them to produce minute of such meeting or the correspondence from the NWC directing them to do so”.

“At least, one thing has been put to rest, the LGA Chairmen forum in their release has confirmed they all worked against the party in Lagos state, and all the reasons adduced are mere attempt to justify their evil deed”, Jandor stated.

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), the Lagos State PDP Governorship Candidate in 2023 General Elections has declared that he is now the party’s apex leader in the state, citing the conducts of Chief Olabode George and Prince Deji Doherty the Chairman of Atiku/Okowa Presidential campaign Council (PCC) prior to the election as one which derobes them of any leadership status in the party forthwith.

Adediran made this assertion during a ‘Thank You Parley’ organized to appreciate party faithful, leaders and members of his campaign council and non-partisan individuals who supported his governorship ambition.

“By the constitution of our party and that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the candidate of the party today in Lagos State, I am the leader.I am saying this with due respect to all other faithful, leaders that I met in PDP.

“They should know this is a constitutional matter, I do not have control over it except I choose to leave tomorrow, and I am not going anywhere. This is my party.

“For every party member, looking for a true leader that is selfless, a leader you can beat your chest over, I am ready to provide leadership for all of you irrespective of your affiliation I urge you to come back.”

He also posited that  the event is not to mourn the past but for him to genuinely appreciate all that had sleepless nights with him during the 2023 electioneering.

“In 2023 election, we worked, we went everywhere-places that had never been visited in the history of this state politically- to campaign to people. We have slept in many local government areas and stayed with the people. That was the kind of rigorous campaign we ran in 2023 elections.

“One cannot put in such investments and some people decided to play against the party, and one won’t get pained. We didn’t lose 2023 election because we didn’t work, no! It has been their style every election cycle, in 2017 Local Government election they worked for Labour Party, in 2019, they declared support for ADP.

“That is why I am here to appreciate all of you. You are my heroes, you did very well.

“We ran a campaign like never before. I brought you together to say thank you. You did well.We have chose this path, there is no going back. We will stay firm so as to give Lagos a breath of fresh air,” he added.

Urging the National leadership of the party to listen the voice of reasoning of patriotic and loyal leaders calling for firm action against unpatriotic leaders,  Adediran said that no one would take the party serious if such leaders were still forced on the people.

“Any leader who doesn’t want to be a member of PDP again should carry his bag and go. The party at the National should listen, if a supposed leader instructed members not to vote for Atiku/Okowa and his governorship candidate in a live TV broadcast. For the party to again foist such a person on us, who will take that party serious?

“It is time to look at the like-minds to forge the party ahead. For those who have declared for Labour Party, they should stay there, for those who have gone to APC, they should enjoy it. Those of us who remain, let us know ourselves,” he said.

Stating that he had no regret whatsoever contesting in the poll, the PDP leader said that he was rather proud about his achievements in the election.

He said that some PDP leaders had been working against the party over the years and it has become their stock in trade.

Speaking on the state of the nation, Adediran urged President Bola Tinubu to seek assistance wherever it could be found, and engage right people to end the suffering of the masses.

Jandor, who faulted the idea of palliative introduced by the federal government, said that the sudden removal of fuel subsidy had  brought about untold hardship to the people, as no well thought out preparation was made to ameliorate the likely shocks this eventually had on the nation’s dollarized economy.

He stressed that the minimum wage issue should have been commensurately addressed to create a buffer for workers, whose purchasing powers was adversely affected, while the standard of living gallops to an unbearable altitude.

Otunba Segun Adewale, a former Lagos PDP Chairman and the Lagos West Senatorial District candidate who could not hide his disappointment in the perceived betrayal of trust by supposed leaders , blamed the repeated defeat of PDP in Lagos State on unpatriotic leaders, who usually corner funds for election logistics to weaken party’s chances of winning.

Adewale, who vowed to support Adediran if he would be running in 2027 general elections, said he remained in PDP till the moment because of the candidate and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

“I am not pleased with the tales of our failure and in 2027 I urge you to secure your ticket first and slug it out at the polls to win, after then you can decide who gets what.

“I will support you in 2027 but please no reconciliation with anybody, politics is about survival of the fittest. Share no money with anyone or any leader bring the logistic funds home to your loyal followers and take power first that is the rule in politics.Doherty stole the money meant for all.

Adewale said that the party needed more transparency in choices of candidates and management of elections logistics, adding that the leadership in the party should not be by age but by electoral weight and performance at polling units, wards and local government.

“It is only a mad man that will keep doing same thing  same.way and expect different results. They see every election as avenue for them to make money,if you reconcile with them, they will take the money and bolt away again, please don’t define leadership by age and trust no one.

“We will stay with you, but let us recognise those who are enemies of the party and do things differently if we want to win,” Adewale , popularly known as Aeroland, said.

Commending Lagos PDP members who were still loyal to the party, Adewale, “It is not easy to be a PDP members in Lagos. We have been failing and failing yet many are still with us.”

Also speaking at the event,  Pa Christopher Osoba, a PDP Chieftain, who urged the candidate not to be discouraged by the outcome of the poll, promised to still support him in the next electoral cycle.

Calling on party leaders and members to come together, work together, and end all the grievances, the party elder said with unity it was possible for the party to still win Lagos State.

“We should put round peg in round hole. We have learnt our lessons. We should forget the past and move forward,” Osoba said.

The Lagos Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the recent Supreme Court Verdict as an end to a phase of live that cannot deter it from seeking the good of Lagosians, who deserves the best at all times.

In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary Hon. Hakeem Amode, the Lagos PDP maintained that it has a more comprehensive programmes for residents of the state but can only execute it when afforded the chance to bring it to live.

“Following the Supreme Court’s verdict on the 2023 Governorship Election in Lagos State, which our party contested, we are officially concluding all matters related to the election.

“In light of this, we appeal to the residents of the state and our numerous supporters to maintain optimism, as we firmly believe that there will always be another opportunity.

“As a party committed to democratic principles, the PDP has no option but to move forward after the highest court has issued a conclusive judgment on the matter.

“Our candidate in the election, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran aka Jandor, has shared his perspective on the judgment and has even extended congratulations to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, whose victory has been affirmed by the court.

“We remain dedicated to fostering a thriving democracy, and we will refrain from any actions that undermine the hard-fought gains achieved during the military era.

“The Lagos State chapter of the PDP believes that if given the opportunity to serve the people, we have more comprehensive programmes for the residents compared to the current offerings.”

Reaffirming its stance not to lose steam by the recent development, the party maintained that it remained resolute that another opportunity will soon come.

“We firmly hold that Lagos State residents should not endure hardship amidst abundance, and we are confident that another chance to serve will emerge in the near future. We will not allow this momentary setback to dampen our spirits.

“Lagos, as a metropolitan state and the commercial center of Nigeria, holds a prominent position nationally and competes with some African countries in terms of GDP, population, and developmental indicators.

“Our candidate, Jandor, remains committed to public service and will continue to make himself available whenever the need arises.

“There will always be another opportunity, and we will not let this temporary setback hinder our pursuit of making Lagos State an egalitarian society with equal opportunities for everyone.

“We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who supported us before, during, and after the election.

“We thank all PDP members in Lagos State, our supporters, market men and women, business people, traders, journalists, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and many others for their unwavering support.

“Your dedication during the campaigns, at the polls, and throughout the legal proceedings has not gone unnoticed. You have shown us that you are dependable, and we are not alone in our quest for the kind of society we deserve in the state.

“May we also use this opportunity to urge you all to vote for the candidate of the PDP in the forthcoming election into the Surulere Federal Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives to fill the seat left by the former speaker of the House, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.” The Statement reads.

The eventual termination of legal struggles seeking to halt Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s reign in Lagos State at the Supreme Court on Friday has been described by a former 8th Assembly lawmaker Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu as an expected end for which no sane politician will lose sleep.

Olorunrinu who formerly represents Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, maintained that prior to the time of the ruling he believed that the various moves by Labour Party candidate Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) against the outcome of the March 18 governorship election in the state were mere exercise in futility.

The APC chieftain said: “Sanwo-Olu is the people’s governor; you cannot rule that one out. His affirmation at the Supreme Court today is very inevitable and not a surprise to us. We never lost any sleep at all.

“We have been talking about continuity in Lagos state, not about a set of people agitating for their personal ambitions.

“In Lagos state people know their onions and what they want. They have voted for Sanwo-Olu and he won by a wide margin.

“So, there was no basis to have even contested the outcome of the election at the court by any candidate.”

Adding that Sanwo-Olu had won the heart of many residents because of the laudable projects being carried out.

“His performance has been 100 per cent. I want to congratulate Sanwo-Olu for this well-deserved victory. Let us wish him the best and support him,” he said.

It will be recalled that the LP candidate has earlier urged the Supreme Court to hold that the March 18 election was marred by irregularities and non-compliance with the Electoral Act adding that the Lagos state deputy governor was not qualified to contest the election.

The PDP candidate also filed 34 grounds of appeal, asking the apex court to upturn the verdict of the Lagos State governorship election tribunal and the court of appeal.

The Lagos Peoples Democratic Party 2023 Governorship Candidate Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) has congratulated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu following the Supreme Court declaration of his victory on Friday, describing it as the last rung of the litigation ladder where he needs to cease fire.

Dr. Adediran made this disclosure in a statement he issued after the ruling adding that though not quite pleased that the verdict favoured Sanwo-Olu, yet he is confident that constitutional provisions to seek redress were fully explored to right the perceived electoral wrong.

“I once again appreciate the privilege to offer myself to serve you as the governor of our dear state in the 2023 general elections.

“We have expressed our reservation on the conduct and the outcome of the election by taking advantage of the provisions of the constitution and the electoral law to file petition at the election tribunal through to the Appeal court and finally, the Supreme Court.

“This is not the outcome we envisaged or worked so hard for. But I am very proud of the values we share and the vision we hold for our dear state. And for the very robust, vast, diverse, people-centered and rural-network campaign that we built and executed together.

“I know how disappointed you are with the outcomes of the election because I feel it too. The frustration, intimidation, and betrayals but our disappointment must be overcome by our love for our dear state.”

Jandor however, counseled PDP faithful to stay calm and allow the declared winner prove his administrative mettle while the people be the judge.

“Since the election is over, and all avenues to seek redress for observed electoral wrongdoing have been exhausted, we need to cease fire, and let the declared winner govern on the basis of their vision for the development of our state and let the electorates be the judge of their performance.

“This will not in any way, deter me from continuing to contribute my quota to the development of our dear state and towards achieving the desired economic emancipation and a breath of fresh air in governance for our people.

“I appreciate you all for your faith and trust in me. I thank our party Faithful and all lovers of Lagos PDP for their dedication and hard work during and after the elections. I urge you not to relent in your support for our quest to free Lagos from bad governance.

I also use this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu. I wish him a peaceful, development and people-focused tenure”.

The Lagos polity has lately thrown-up an awkward twist, as deserving political flanks were clearly missing in the combination of the state’s executive cabinet and it is high time this misnomer is addressed dispassionately by the powers that be.

Many keen watchers of the political scene in the state wonder why the agelong secret of Lagos was being ignored by supposed leaders, who were not oblivious of the positives addition this said culture of inclusive governance has brought to the state in times past.

Looking back in history people like Ben Akabueze, Commissioner for Budget and Planning from Anambra State, Aurthur Worrey Commissioner for Land from Delta State, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, third term Federal House of Representatives member, Representing Ikeja Federal Constituency – From Kogi State and Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Chief of Staff from Kwara, were good hands who peopled then Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Governor of Lagos State executive cabinet along others all assembled to deliver the good.

This continued in the era of Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and even in the first term of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu but was abruptly stopped in this second term.

The most disturbing development is the seemingly use and dump style adopted by the Sanwo-Olu led government lately, for instance it is on record that the Arewa Community in Lagos gave massive support all through the election, delivering their bulk votes to the All-Progressives Congress candidates across board.

Even President Bola Ahmed Tinubu attest to the fact that Lagos Arewa Community, have been up to task and deserves a comfortable environment to fare much better in the Lagos polity and Nigeria, when the said group gave their unflinching endorsement prior to the presidential polls in 2023.

“I am glad to receive your endorsement today, we live in harmony, we live in joy, we live in peace, we must do our business and bring prosperity to Nigeria, every part be it Zamfara, Katsina, Kano,Bauchi,Adamawa,Kaduna, every where, any where all of us we belong to the same Allah.

“We belong to the same land, we belong to the same country, we must live together in peace and harmony.” Tinubu said.

The concerted effort of the community’s state Chairman Alhaji Saadu Dandare Gulma cannot be ignored in his attempt to ensure peaceful coexistence amongst the different divides of Arewa Community in the state which includes; Igala, Tiv, Sango Kataf, Kanuri, Shuwa Arab and others and this singular unity rallying move translated to victory even in the far north.

Right at the endorsement rally in the main bowl of Onikan stadium, Lagos, Saadu said: “Arewa by God’s grace is going to give you massive support not only in Lagos even in the northern Nigeria. I tell you categorically sir anybody you see here are the representatives of their people in the north.

“We have sat down to discuss and agree that Arewa is one now headed by me. The Igala, Tiv, Sango Kataf, Kanuri, Shuwa Arab and all others represented here, we are ready to work together to ensure victory for Asiwaju, Shettima, Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat emerge winners.” Saadu promised.

Interestingly, all these promises by Saadu came to fruition but the community remain ousted from the polity. One would have expected a recompense for all the support received from Arewa Community by the Governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the community from the feelers made available to sunrise.ng is not too comfortable with this development.

It is important for Mr. Governor to revert and include this community for further harmonious relations going forward. The council polls are close by and given the bulk votes this community is known for, it is anti-progressive for them to be ignored. Lagos has enjoyed a stable polity for so long a time, it is instructive that the secret of this visible positive vibe be kept intact by Governor Sanwo-Olu.

The jostle to fill the vacant seat of former speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila in Surulere Federal Constituency 1 of the All-Progressives Congress at the Federal House of Representatives has come to an end at a bye election held on Saturday which elected Fuad Kayode Laguda as its flagbearer for the election scheduled for February 3, 2024.

Laguda emerged victorious at APC primary election held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere having clearly defeated his contenders; Kabir Lawal, Raheem Owokoniran, and Jamila Omobolanle.

The trio polled no single vote while Laguda had 30 votes and was declared winner by the Chairman of the primary election committee, Yusuf Bala Yakubu to the cheers of the aspirant’s supporters, who put up a massive presence at the stadium.

Recall that Gbajabiamila resigned his position as representative for the Surulere 1 federal Constituency on June 14th 2023 after his appointment as the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu.

Fuad Kayode Laguda was chairman of the APC in Surulere local government and later, Publicity Secretary of council of local government chairmen (Conference of APC 57 ) in Lagos state. Laguda was also a Member of the Independent Campaign Group which worked for the election of Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu as governor of Lagos state.

He was educated at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, University of Lagos (Unilag) and Harvard Kennedy School/Executive Education, Boston. He was the Head of Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority Liaison Unit of the state’s Internal Revenue Service (LIRS). In 2016, he joined the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) as a manager, and worked at the Relationship Management Unit and Sector Account Management Unit in the Office of the Executive Chairman.

Laguda will be flying the APC flag in the february bye-election against candidates of the other political parties.

In two separate New Year messages, the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Governorship candidate Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) have urged the residents of the state to keep hope alive for brighter days ahead, while awaiting the verdict of the Supreme court on the final outcome of the 2023 gubernatorial election.

The duo berated the APC led administration over a clear disconnect with the people they govern, who are daily being deprived of their means of sustenance through policies that bring about anti-masses economic situations.

In a statement signed by Hon. Hakeem Amode the Lagos State PDP Publicity Secretary, the party declared that the state in spite of all resources available is being hindered from reaching its full potentials due to incompetence of the All-Progressives Congress (APC)-led government.

“Acknowledging the economic challenges caused by the nationwide crisis, we anticipate that 2024 will usher in better prospects for the people of Lagos State.

“The recent video circulating of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit to Lagos Island, where residents voiced their hunger shouting “ebi npa wa ooo, ebi npa wa ooo” (we are hungry) amidst a procession of luxurious cars, underscores the difficulties faced by our people.

“Despite the state’s abundant resources, the All-Progressives Congress (APC)-led government has not provided the residents with the quality of life they deserve.

“Having been governed by the self acclaimed progressives since 1999, Lagos State should stand as a true center of excellence.

“Unfortunately, the current administration’s incompetence and lack of vision have hindered the state from reaching its full potential.

Amode reaffirms the poise of PDP to offer qualitative governance if given the opportunity to lead.

“As the PDP awaits the opportunity to lead, we remain committed to transforming Lagos into the state of our collective dreams.

“The challenges of 2023, especially the gubernatorial elections, tested our people.

“The removal of fuel subsidies by the APC-led Federal Government contributed to skyrocketing prices, intensifying hunger in the state.

“The open declaration of hunger by our people is a clear indication of the government’s failure.

“While we await the pronouncement of the Supreme Court on the final outcome of the 2023 gubernatorial election, we enjoined all Lagosian to ask God to grant Lagos a breath of fresh air in the year 2024 with a Leader that has in him, the fear of God.

“May the New Year be marked by multiple blessings, divine protection, and celebrations for all. Let us collectively pray for a year free from evil and self-centred Leaders.” Amode prays.

For the Lagos State Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic in the 2023 general elections, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) there would have been no basis for the harsh economic situation if the government had been intentional rather than being an elitist government.

In a statement signed by his Spokesperson Gbenga Ogunleye, Jandor commended the residents for their resilience while urging them to look forward to Supreme Court’s pronouncement that can right the wrongs soon.

He decries the worsening state of unemployment, poverty rate, inflationary cost and the increasing depletion of the purchasing power of the average Lagosian. He posits that the state could have fared better if the government has been intentional in policy execution by being people-focused instead of running an elitist agenda.

…says Osafile’s victory vindicates the group’s initial position on Doherty’s case

Amuwo Odofin Youths Renaissance Network has described the judgment of the Lagos State Court of Appeals Igbosere,Lagos on Thursday, 23rd November 2023 in favour of the Lagos State House of Assembly member Hon.Stella Foluke Osafile Amuwo-Odofin constituency 1 of the Labour Party as a clear vindication of their position on the previous virtual ruling of her counterpart Hon. David Olukoya Doherty of Amuwo-Odofin constituency 2 read on Friday 17th November 2023.

It will be recalled that the youths’ network had on 20th November,2023 cited certain likely legal infractions, in the manner Doherty case was hastily dispensed with, by Hon.Justice Baba Idris in a three minutes Zoom session.

The group in a statement signed by its Spokesperson Comrade Abdulmajeed Oreoluwa on Saturday stated that its position on the matter had been vindicated by Osafile’s eventual victory sealed on Thursday.

“That the Appeal Court at its Thursday sitting on Osafile’s matter opted for a physical court session rather than the unwarranted virtual session held in Doherty’s case, this further affirms one thing- that it was a forcefully calculated attempt to subvert the people’s will in Amuwo-Constituency 2 as we rightly stated in our previous communication.

“We at Amuwo Odofin Youths Renaissance Network have chosen to always expose the ills, in the polity of our community to defend the interest of our people, we are passionate about this cause as democracy needs to be protected from the Marauding Dracula that pervades our society.

“Our further investigation into the Doherty case revealed a height of desperation in that the signature of one of the judges-Hon. Justice Theresa Ngolika Orji-Abadua was forged in the Zoom ruling.

“As opposed to what obtains in Doherty’s case which was discovered to be handled by their Lordship in a highly subjective manner, that of Osafile as read by Justice Joseph Ekanem his counterpart was purely handled objectively, basically on its merit. This in itself posits that the case being a pre-election matter should have spelled out the Labour Party’s victory all the way, even in Constituency 2.

“We urge the Labour Party to leverage on their recent creditable victory in Osafile’s case and reclaim the stolen mandate in constituency 2, we also challenge Hon. Wale Rauf Age-Sulaimon to controvert our claim of desperation as cited earlier if he has any genuine ground.

“The youth’s network will not keep quite till justice is truly served as we have been vindicated in Osafile’s victory that Wale Rauf Age-Sulaimon is only making frantic effort to steal a mandate he did not legitimately obtain from the electorates in Amuwo-Odofin 2 through the court and we will unveil the truth soon,” Oreoluwa said.
